HOW
TO SELECT ILLUMINATORS LIKE A PRO?
-
Do you want regular (850nm)
IR light or invisible (940nm) IR light? Select accordingly and
don't hesitate to take 850nm. It is hardly noticeable anyway.
-
Decide about target range you
want to cover and select accordingly.
-
Do you want flood light or spot
light? Take 60 degrees coverage for flood or 30 for narrow beam. Longest
ranges are achieved by 10 degrees narrow beam or smaller so that is default with very
long runs.
-
Nobody will stop you for taking
more then one IR illuminator to enhance a scene. Don't be shy, you don't
want bad guys to wander around.
